Hard Drive Not Being Recognised

My usb isnt being recognised by any computer anymore and I was wondering is it possible to get back data. The computer says device unsuccessfully be installed. I have been problems with my 2TB WD external hard drive lately which are very similar to those described at http://frankcanon.blogbaker.com/. I dropped it a few times before (twice I think) and it worked fine afterwards still. Since last week however, I can’t seem to get it to work. All my laptops make a sound when I connect the usb, but the hard drive doesnt show up in My Computer nor in https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=1284Disk Management. I also noticed it makes a buzzing noise today. The led works when connected, cable is fine. On rare occasions, it shows up in My computer but not anymore. I would like to know if it’s possible to repair it and how much it costs? If this isn’t possible, may I know the price for all of my data to be recovered? Do I need to have a spare hard drive for this for my data to be restored on or not?

I have a seagate portable drive which is less than a year old and still under warranty. the drive is no longer recognised by my pc and i am unable to access any of my photos etc stored on the drive. My local IT repair shop have told me the data in unrecoverable. The seagate warranty does not seem to cover data recovery or data loses

Seagate Expansion external hard drive – model srd0nf2 – 4TB knocked onto a carpeted floor from about 3ft. Was connected at the time but USB lead disconnected before impact. Now wont open and makes three spinning clicking sounds – the blue light no longer comes on (although it did initially). Contains JPEG and .RAW camera files for my business on october – about 50% backed up but start of the month wasnt. Looking for a quote to recover data – I live in Larbert Stirlingshire.

I have an Iomega prestige external hard drive. It’s not working – no light on or whirring sound at all. Have tried a new power cable but no difference. For a couple of weeks before, the disk seemed to be regularly losing connection to my laptop and literally just before it packed up the light was only coming on if I held it at a certain angle.

I’ve 3TB Seagate external hard drive which contains two partitions created through windows7. One partition contains all my personal documents and family images. Second partition is for media movies etc. I’ve outlined the problems at this rediff blog blogs.rediff.com/data-recovery/ and attached external HDD with ubuntu OS but I’ve notice I can’t stream data smoothly so I unmounted from ubuntu but message was popping that don’t disconnect your hard drive but after finishing I hooked off my external HDD but now ubuntu can’t recognise the external HDD but when I tried to connect with windows OS it can recognise through computer management but not loading drives and I can’t do anything. I don’t want to format my hard drive and want to extract my contents.

My USB drive, a sandisk 64gb cruzer, as shown in the link below, was bent whilst inside my laptop. The laptop no longer detects the USB unless bent at a certain angle, and is unable to read the USB. I need to somehow recover all of the data from this USB drive.
